Michigan, Huron & Ontario – 50m Concept
This 50m concept series was created for Burger Yachts and is based on the 70m motor yacht Caspian which was first shown at The Monaco Yacht Show in 2011. The series has a cohesive design language in its own right. Every exterior element, starting from the mast right down to the waterline is integral and aesthetically links each yacht together. The trio also share a comparable interior philosophy with the high interior volumes resulting in generously proportioned shared spaces as well as guest cabins. Despite sharing many key features and the Claydon Reeves signature hull line, each of the three yachts in the series also retains some qualities and style distinctions of their own.
Tioga & Tacoosh – 40m Concept
The 40m concept series, which includes Tioga and Tacoosh, was created for Burger following discussions at The Monaco Yacht Show 2011. Claydon Reeves believe that this section of the superyacht market needs to be redefined by freshly considered design. The yachts share an internal platform and much of the external space, however the bows differ, with Tioga opting for a plumb bow whilst Tacoosh has a more traditional angled bow which appears to further extend the character line. The aim was create elegant yachts with plenty of outside space for guests enjoying a cruise. Low superstructure, glass supporting the cap rails and in the case of Tacoosh, an almost ‘floating’ sundeck roof have given the yachts a sophisticated and stylish composition.
